The State of AL, Henry Co, you are hereby authorized to celebrate the rights of matrimony between P LaFayett Pybus and Mary A Hasty and this shall be your sufficient authority for so doing. Given under my hand and seal this 16th day of Dec 1870, and of American independence 95th yr, signed by J Bitppling
The above named parties were married by me @ A Hasty on 20th day of Dec 1870, signed by E M Knowls
Bottom of pg says The State of AL Henry Co, Know all men by these presents that I Wm Pybus be held and firmly bound unto the state of AL in the penal sum of $200 for the payment of which well and truly to be made I bind ourselves and each and every one of our Heirs, Executors and Administrators jointly and severaly firmly by these presents, sealed with seals and dated the 16th day of Dec 1870. The condition of the above obligation is such that if there be no lawful cause why P Lafayett Pybus and Mary A Hasty should no be joined together in the holy union of matrimony then this obligation to be void otherwise to remail in full force and virtue. Signed by Wm Pybus his mark a X.
