9 Jun 1772 Robert Hodgson of Frederick Co. VA "son and heir to Phineas Hodgson late of Cecil County, Deceased" sells to John Mackey of Cecil Co. MD for the sum of 15 pounds land now in possession of the said Macky wheron he now lives on the North Side of the province Line at a boundary proven by commissioners 29 Oct 1764 (no real description except perches) - 52 1/2 acres Signed Robert Hodgson. 9 Jun 1772 Robert Hodgson of Frederick County VA, son and heir at law of Phineas Hodgson Dec'd to Abel Hodgson of Cecil Co. MD for the sum of 300 pounds Lawfull money of Pennsylvania a tract of Land in Cecil Co. on the north side of the province line and on both sides of the main Branch of Elk River being part of a tract called pleasant Garden willed to Phineus Hodgson and to Joseph Hodgson by their father Robert Hodgson (references being found in said will) Wits. 1772 Received this Twenty third day of September one thousand seven hundred and seventy two of John Hodgson Administrator of the Estate of Phineas Hodgson Deceased the Sum of Thirty Pounds lawful money of Pennsylvania in full of his wife Hannah Hodgson's part or share coming to her of her father's Estate. 1773 Received the Eight day of June one thousand seven hundred and Seventy two of John Hodgson, administrator to the Estate of Phoneas Hodgson deceased, the sum of Seventeen pounds ten shillings Current money of Pennsylvania being in full of all accounts dues and Demands whatsoever either against the Estate of my Father Phineas Hodgson Deceased or by way of any Legacy, Portion part or share of the s'd Estate that falls to my Lot and doth forever Discharge him the said John Hodgson and his heirs Exors.
