  3. Source:Byam, Edwin Colby. Descendants of George Byam, ( -1680) : Supplement: The Asa Byam Line, p. 24, says of Tabitha, "no birth nor death record found". She clearly died before 1765, when her husband remarried. It seems likely she was Person:Tabitha Chamberlain (1) based on 1) reasonable age, 2) no other candidate identified (only Tabitha Chamberlain found in Massachusetts VRs between say 1715 and the 1760 marriage date), 3) no alternative marriage found for her (e.g., Source:Chamberlain, George Walter. William Chamberlain of Billerica, Mass., and His Descendants, p. 120; Source:Shedd, Frank Edson. Daniel Shed Genealogy : Ancestry and Descendants of Daniel Shed of Braintree, Massachusetts, 1327-1920, p. 53), but no evidence has been found to support this. Her father died before the 1760 marriage (1739, mother d. 1747), so she still carries her maiden name in the references to her that are found in her father's probate.
