- ↑ Source:Winsor, Justin. History of the Town of Duxbury, Massachusetts, with Genealogical Registers, p. 334, adds four children to this family not found in the published VRs: Lydia b. 11 Feb 1680; William b. 4 May 1683; Mary b. 7 Dec 1685; Benjamin b. 7 Jul 1688. Lydia and William directly conflict with children known to be in this family, and there is another birth record for daughter Mary with no death record, and the same four given names (Mary/Marcy) and respective birthdates are found in the VRs for William and Lydia Brewster. The will of Peter names daughters Mary, Margere, Easter, Rebeakah, Ruth, and sons Elisha and Samuel, but no Lydia, William or Benjamin. So this appears to be a really bad clerical error by the author. Despite the fact that this list is not supported by VRs nor will, it is repeated in secondary sources, notably, NEHGR, Vol. 60, p. 142; Source:Wheeler, Richard Anson. History of the Town of Stonington, County of New London, Connecticut, from Its First Settlement in 1649 to 1900, p. 626.
