  1.   "The Bench and Bar of Illinois" page 889, book by John McAuley Palmer published in 1899 on the Goggle Books website has a bio on E R E Kimbrough. It mentions Amos Ashmore and Patience McGuire. It says they arrived in IL in 1808, probably Clark Co., IL. Patience McGuire native of Danbridge, TN was born in a fort while her mother (probably Catherine Prigmore) took refuge during the American Revolution.
