This is an image of a handwritten VR (either the original or a copy likely made shortly after the original). Most of the page is preserved, but some text has been lost on the right-hand side.
'These may certifie that Palmer Cleveland of Easter[lost] Northup widow to David Northup late of North Kingstown [lost] were Both joyned together in marriage [in sd?] Town [lost] This 1st Day of July in 1751 By John Congdon Justice [lost]'
It appears that Arnold read "of Easter" as "& Easter" (a common way of writing the name Esther). Cleveland, apparently working from a different copy of the VR, shows the phrase to be "of Exeter".
Cleveland transcribes the marriage a bit differently from the image found at FamilySearch. A copy was likely made shortly after the marriage was first recorded. Cleveland's citation is: "July 1, 1751, John Congdon, Justyce of ye Peace, certifies that Palmer Cleveland of Exeter, and ----- Northup, widow to David Northup, late of North Kingstowne, were both lawfully joyned together in marriage in ye town of -----."
