W., on W. side of highway, N. of Stoughton's Brook; this land he gave to his s. Timothy, fr. whom it desc. to Willis S., from whose heirs it was bought by Elizur Bancroft. Oliver Stoughton m. (1) prob. abt. 1755, Eleanor Burbank (?) who d. 9 Mch., 1774, in 39th yr. (E.W.O. et E.W.C.R.); (2) 28 Sept., 1781, Wid. Elizabeth Gillett of [W.] Hartford - W. Htfd. Ch. Rec. She d. 9 (10, E.W.C.R. et R.D.) Feb. 1815, ae. 74 (E.W.O. say 72); she was memb. 1st Ch. E.W., 1787; he d. 23 Jan., 1815, ae. 87; "bu. 25th; had been the oldest man in the society nearly 11 yrs."
