John Haines wrote his will 24 August 1689 (naming Andrew Bowne as his father-in-law). Presumably he died not too long afterwards.

  2. Obadiah Bowne, in Find A Grave.

Includes an excerpt from Genealogy of the Onderdonk Family (1910) which claims that Obadiah Bowne married his first cousin Elizabeth Bowne.

This marriage is supported by the fact that Elizabeth's father's will refers to his granddaughters as Anne and Lydia Bowne and also mentions a grandson John. A bond dated 15 Feb 1715 [see NYGBR 4:25] refers to "Obadiah Bowne's children John, (not yet age 21) Anne and Lydia, (not yet age 18)." which are likely the same children as those mentioned in the will of Elizabeth's father, Andrew.
