By 1900 only five of the eleven children were alive. There is an obituary for one son who died in 1883 at the age of seven. Based on the age and date of the obit, this must be Emmett O. There are legible tombstones for Emma and Addie Chestine. This leaves three unaccounted for of the six who were not living in 1900.

Floyd, Oliver and Willie are all listed (and thus living) in the 1900 census population schedule. This leaves two who are alive at this time and those are probably Robert L. and Martha M.

This means that the other three who are not accounted for were probably children who died young and were not listed in the census.
