Nathaniel Upham & Mary Tuthill [by] Mr. Cotton Mather Feb. 6, 1706.
- ↑ Source:Upham, F. K. Upham Genealogy, p. 83, shows two daughters named Mary, assumes the first died young. However, the second one is born 30 years after the first, and 14 years after the previous child, while it appears the first one married Thomas Parker and was the "daughter Parker" whose children are named in Nathaniel's will, some born after 1738 when the second daughter Mary was allegedly born. It turns out that the death in 1738 at age 7 m. that was used to justify the second daughter was for Nathaniel and Rebecca, i.e., it was a grand daughter, not a daughter. There was only one daughter Mary who lived to marry as described.
