  3.   There is no apparent maiden named Lydia Richards in Braintree, but there are two recent widows with this name. One is Lydia (Faxon) Richards who m. as his second wife Benjamin Richards, who d. 1741. But she is 10 years older than Nathaniel and not a good match. The other is a Lydia (Niles) Richards who married 22 Apr 1741 John Richards. This appears to be the John Richards of Weymouth, s/o Ephraim Richards and Mary Vining, b. 1717, d. 1742. This seems a likely possibility. Appleton thinks after Nathaniel died, she might be the "Mrs Lydia Sumner" of Stoughton that married 13 Jan 1791 Nathaniel Billing.
