Nathaniel Bowers and Mrs. Hannah Smith (prior married name), both of Greenwich, were married on Dec. 2, 1703.

Mrs Hannah Bowers died in Newark in 1736.

    "Nathaniel (Bowers) … [m Deborah _____, who d 1 Dec 1712 (Derby Vital Records)]."

    Clarification: Nathaniel certainly married, as he had three children of record. Jacobus apparently considered it probable that his wife was Deborah, surname unknown, and that she was the Deborah Bowers who died at Derby 1 December 1712. However, the published Derby Vital Records give Rebecca as the baptismal name of the Bowers, and that the date was 7 December 1712.
