  3. Source:Crane, Ellery B. Historic Homes and Institutions and Genealogical and Personal Memoirs of Worcester County, Massachusetts, Vol. 2, p. 447, names the wife as Mary "Belknap". There is no apparent reason for this as all marriage records (including intentions) seem to say Knap. She has not been identified, but based on her death in 1841, it would seems likely this was her first marriage.
