Jeff M. on inconsistencies in the marriage record: There is one inconsistent item that bears mentioning. It lists his mother's name as Hulda, not Pauline. There could be many explanations for this. My own opinion is that this might have been the name of another of Kopel's many wives as opposed to the name of the birth mother. (Hulda which is not a traditional name may have been Golde - in the Russian alphabet, there is no H sound so H was written as G). Pauline is probably an anglicized version of the Jewish name Pesha. There is another Pauline in the family tree whose Jewish name we know to be Pesha so we can extrapolate that all Paulines (and there are several) were Pesha's.
