"Harriet Ware of Wentham was employed in the Clapboardtrees School two summers, 1828 and 1829. The daughter of Paul and Hannah (Brastow) Ware, she was born Jan. 5, 1799, educated in the public schools and Day's Academy of her native town, and was a teacher in several places. Nov. 19, 1838, she was united in marriage to Nathan Barrett in Boston. Her last residence was in Wrentham; but she died in Dorchester Feb. 14, 1888, in her ninetieth year. Many years ago one of her pupils mentioned to me Mrs. Barrett's excellent instruction as a thing very pleasant to remember."
