  1. ↑ Note: Barre, MA, VRs, p. 138, show the marriage of Rebecca Forbes and Moses Boardman Williams of Swanzey on 8 Dec 1787. This is clearly impossible as Rebecca had a child and died by then, and according to Source:Moffatt, Eva L. Ancestry of William Forbes of Barre, Mass., and Montreal, Que., 1778-1833, p. 36, the will of her father William Forbes, dated 3 Oct 1787, calls her "Rebekah Williams, late of Swanzey, deceased" [note: see also Worcester Probate 21823], and bequeaths to his grandson William Williams. Probably the year of marriage was 1785 and misrecorded or mistranscribed.
