Fay Genealogy : John Fay of Marlborough and His Descendants, p. 286, mentions a bond given by Moses' son Samuel to perform certain deeds for Moses' wife Elizabeth and her son John Giles, which provides some evidence that this may be a correct identification, but the basis for "after 1786" is not explained. This is of particular interest because the website keeps treating "John Fay (Giles)" as Moses' son, but his birth in 1782 says only step-son...
