    127:56.

"Minddert Vanhorn, son of Richard Vanhorn and Patty, his wife, of New Ark in the Province (now State) of New Jersey, was married in Liverpool to Susanah Harlow, daughter of Robert Harlow and Jane, his wife, on the thirty-first day of December in the year, one thousand seven hundred and eighty-eight."

    p.148, 1967.

"Mindert, son of Robert and Patty Van Horne, of Newark, New Jersey, went to Shelburne, N.S., at the age of 23, as a Loyalist settler. He moved from Shelburne to Liverpool in 1784. On December 31, 1788, he married Susannah, daughter of Robert and Jane (West) Harlow."

  3. Although I have not found a birth record for Cornelius Vanhorn, it is most likely he was born about 1801 in Nova Scotia. His marriage in 1822 at Liverpool, Nova Scotia, as well as the birth and baptism of his first daughter there, combined with the naming of one of his children "Minard," suggest he was from the family of Mindert Vanhorn and Susannah Harlow of Liverpool. 4. Jane VanHorne was probably a daughter of Mindert Vanhorn and Susanna Harlow of Liverpool, Nova Scotia. She married, and died in Liverpool. 'Jane/Jean' was the name of Susanna Harlow's mother. Jane Van Horn/Van Horne is said to have been the sister of Cornelius, who was most likely a son of Mindert. Her son's given name "Alexander" was a traditional name in the Vanhorn family. Kel Routley.
