↑ Source:Barbour, Lucius Barnes. Families of Early Hartford, Connecticut, p. 147, shows Matthew Cadwell, s/o Thomas Cadwell & Elizabeth (Stebbins) Wilson, b. 5 Oct 1668, as the one who married Abigail Beckley, but Barbour's Hartford records, same page cited above, says:
Matthew, s. [Thomas], b. Oct. 5, 1668 [FFS 8]
Matthew, s. [Thomas], b. Oct. 5, 1668; d. [1681], AE 13 y. [1 11]
As transcribed the record clearly seems to say the son of Thomas died but no other Thomas is found. The original Hartford records are (viewable at Family History Centers) and need to be consulted.]
