Everyone in the household was white. The family lived on an owned family farm (farm schedule 113). 

(Head) Martin Ashcraft, 59 year old male farmer born Dec 1840 in Ohio.  His father was born in Pennsylvania and mother in Maryland.
(Wife) Geniva (Ashcraft), 52 year old female born July 1847 in Indiana.  Both of her parents were born in Tennessee.
     The couple had been married for 32 years.
     Geniva had 8 children, 5 still living as of the census.
(Daughter) Anna (Ashcraft), 25 year old single female school teacher born Jan 1875 in Indiana.  Her father was born in Ohio and mother in Indiana.
(Son) Forney (Ashcraft), 18 year old male farm laborer born Jul 1881 in Indiana.  His father was born in Ohio and mother in Indiana.
