Moore, Mark and Luce [Mary, M.R.] Stone, Feb. 9, 1774.

Middlesex County marriage record names Mary Stone as Mark's wife as noted in the published version of the Sudbury records, but both Sudbury and Framingham town records named Lucy Stone as his wife. Births of all their children in Warwick and her death record in Warwick name Mark's first wife as Mary (Source:Vital Records of Warwick, Massachusetts 1739-1850). Mary Stone, b. 1747, and Lucy Stone, b. 1741, of Framingham were sisters, daughters of Samuel and Rebecca Stone according to the Framingham VR. Mary Moore, wife of Mark Moore, was 42 in 1788 according to the death record which matches Mary's birth in 1747 better than Lucy's birth in 1741, and Mary is also closer to Mark's age, as he was born in 1749 according to his age at death. The History of Framingham says Lucy m. Mark Moore and Mary m. Peter Bent, but I can find no record of a marriage of Mary Stone to Peter Bent in Sudbury or Framingham. The father's will (see Person:Samuel Stone (27)) in 1786 did not name daughter Lucy, but did name "Mary Moore".
