    Katie Belle Darragh Cole, eldest daughter of the late Charles B. and Sarah J. Darragh, was born in this city Oct. 26, 1860. She was married to Marion R. Cole in this city June 4, 1889. To this union was born one child, Charles F. Cole.

    She became a member of the M. E. church in her early girlhood and lived a consistent christian life. Although being unable to attend church regularly she was always interested in all christian work.

    In her home and among her neighbors was her christian influence felt most. She was ever ready to lend a helping hand and help smooth down the rough places.

    With all her suffering she was always cheerful and looked forward to the time when she might be restored to health.

    She had been afflicted for a number of years and finally decided ot submit to a surgical operation. But with her failing strength she was unable to rally and sank sweetly and quietly to rest with Jesus Jan. 19, 1911, at 2 o'clock p.m.

    She leaves to mourn their loss, her husband, son, mother, sister, Mrs. Edwin J. Evans, besides numerous other relatives and many friends.

    The funeral was held at her late home, No. 543 west High street, at 2 o'clock p.m. Monday, Jan. 23, and was attended by a large number of sorrowing relatives and friends. The services were conducted by Rev. C. D. Wilson, pastor of Hamline chapel. The body was placed in the vault to await interment. The following friends acted as pallbearers: R. C. Mattox of Aurora, John M. Roehm, H. B. Herrick, Wiliam Kiger, G. H. Wood and R. P. Nelson, all of this city.
