WHITING, Lewis, Capt., and Olive Hancock, Dec. 19, 1805.
↑ It is not known from this record if Olive was a widow or not previously married. Source:Lazell, Theodore S. Whiting Genealogy, p. 42 indicates Lewis' widow is the one who m. 1829 Dea. Phillip Blake of Franklin (Wrentham VRs, p. 396). She is named in the will of her husband dated 1834 and proved 1837 (Norfolk Probate 2036). A Find A Grave memorial gives a death of Olive 7 Feb 1842 aged 90, so born 1752, but has no image and no such death record is found. If we ignore this purported death date, one candidate would be Betty's half sister, Olive, b. Wrentham 1759 to Betty's father John and his second wife Martha Bragg. She was named Olive Hancock when her father wrote his will 3 Feb 1781 (Suffolk Probate 19531).
