- ↑ Mother's maiden name specified in death record of son Washburn. Several Internet trees probably misidentify one or more of the participants, particularly Lemuel. It is difficult to know, as no probate or death record has been identified. His son born 1820 in Athol, suggests he is the man of this name in the 1820 census in Athol, about the 20th name. The oldest man in the household is age 18 to 25 so born no earlier than 1795. There is an older woman (over 45) plus two woman 18-25. The older woman would presumably be his mother and one of the others his wife. But this strongly looks like orphaned siblings living with him, possibly one brother and two sisters, and then the two younger children (the third not yet born) that are his.
