[Note: There are three separate recordings represented here: the 1749 record naming Samuel, the 1747 intention naming Lemuel, and a reference to a church record that shows a 1747 marriage to Lemuel. Intentions were good for a year: so this combination of records suggests most probably that the marriage occurred in 1747, since both the intention and church record say so, and less probably that it occurred in 1749. This also suggest the husband was Lemuel for the same reason and that the 1749 was probably a corrupted copy probably from misreading both the year and husband's given name.]
