Velma had an apple tree and brought apples to Ruth Falls Rodenbeck.

Laureld and Velma had three children, one daughter and two sons.

Laureld's obituary reads, "LAURELD H. WILDER, 85, of 13218 Redding Drive, died at 2:30 p.m. Friday at his home. Mr. Wilder, a native of Roanoke, had lived in Allen County most of his life. He retired from General Electric Co. after 21 years' employment, and retired in 1967 from the Aboite Township School. He also was a veteran of World War I. Surviving are his wife, Velma; two sons...; a daughter...; and a sister, Edith Somers of Roanoke. Services will be 11 a.m. Monday in Elzey-Dickey-Haggard Home for Funerals, Waynedale. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 2 5o 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Velma's obituary reads, "VELMA I. WILDER, 93, died Monday at Ossian Health Care Center. She was a native of Fort Wayne. She was a homemaker. Her husband, Laureld, died in 1982. Surviving are two sons...; a daughter...; five grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. Services at 1 p.m. Thursday at Elzey & Haggard Home for Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Road. Calling from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Burial in Greenlawn Memorial park. Memorials to Allen Hospice or donor's choice." [Journal Gazette, 22 March 1995, pg. 3b]

They are both buried at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
