York Deed 16-5 and 16-5: April 30, 1733, Edward Skillings of Scarborough sold to Samuel Skillings two thirds of one-fifth of land inherited via father Josiah (2/3 of Josiah's share) from grandfather John (1/5 of John's share).
York Deed 15-279: Danforth Phipps and Elizabeth his wife sold to Samuel Skillings one-third of one-fifth of land inherited via father Josiah (1/3 of Josiah's share) from grandfather John. This accounts for the entirety of Josiah's share. Eldest son John must have died without issue before settlement of estate, making Edward the oldest, to explain this distribution between the remaining two heirs.
Edward Lydden's part was sold to Samuel Skillin in 1705, and he sold it in 1710 to his brother, Josiah Skillin, who had taken for his wife Elizabeth, daughter of Edward Lydden.
