    Mr Josiah Procter of Warwick entered his intentions of Marriage with Miss Polly Thompson of Royalston } March 12th 1825.

  3. Allred, p. 220, gives to this marriage a child Josiah Jr. No such child is listed in the Warwick records for this couple, and further, the mother would have been 48 at the time of his proposed birth. So this child is not credible. Instead the Josiah in question (who is the one who that actually married Phebe Maria Parkman in 1863 and had a son Henry Harwood Proctor 25 Mar 1864) was the son of Caleb and Theodosia Proctor, and hence a grandchild of Polly's husband. Incidentally, Polly lived with step-son Caleb and his wife Theodosia after her husband died.
