- ↑ 3.0 3.1 Many sources report the marriage of Joseph and Lucy as about 1702, including Source:Lancaster, Worcester, Massachusetts, United States. Birth, Marriage and Death Register, Church Records and Epitaphs of Lancaster, Massachusetts, 1643-1850, p. 451, in the section entitled "from sundry sources supposed reliable". This seems at odds with the Boston record. One of the 1702 sources, Source:Wilder, Moses Hale. Book of the Wilders, lists two children born before the 1707 date, but it is not clear where the birth dates came from. Andrew is supposedly born 26 Dec 1706, but the record is not found in Lancaster VRs, and he was not baptized until 28 Nov 1708. Further, his gravestone says he d. 28 Dec 1764 in 56th year, which calculates to 1708-1709. Thomas is reported born "1704" so his birth doesn't even appear to be recorded, and this date is probably the result of assumption.
