    I do hereby certify that on the fifteenth day of December in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and sixty one at the house of William Irish in the Township of Fairgrove Joseph O. Shultz aged twenty three and Sarah R Phelps aged sixteen years both of the Township of Fairgrove and to me personally known to be the persons described in this certificate were by me joined together with their mutual consent in the bonds of wedlock, and it was first ascertained that the parties were of sufficient age to consent to the same. In presence of Nelson Miller, Samuel Fairbanks. Given under my hand this fifteenth day of December AD 1861.
