Pulaski Democrat, 23 Aug 1951: MISS DORIS JEAN PHILLIPS WEDS JOSEPH S. MURRAY SATURDAY AT ST. JOHN'S Miss Doris Jean Phillips, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Phillips, R. D. Pulaski, became the bride of Joseph Stephen Murray, son of Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Murray of Palmyra at St. John's Church in Pulaski Saturday at 2 p. m. The Rev. Edward P. Kenefic performed the ceremony... Mrs. Dorothy Bristol was matron of honor for her sister and Charles R. Murray was best man for his brother. Dale Bristol and Edward Murray, brothers of the couple, were ushers. The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a white marquisette gown... A reception was held at the home of the bride following the service... After a trip to Washington, D. C. they will Ibe at home in Grahamsville, where the bridegroom is Industrial Arts teacher. Mrs. Murray was graduated from Altmar High School and Oswego State Teachers College with a B.S. degree and has been teaching at Waterloo. Mr. Murray is a graduate of Palmyra High School and of Oswego State Teachers College with a B.S. and M.S. degree and is affiliated with Kappa Delta Pi, Epsilon Pi Tau, S.W.W.
