... The next year, however, went to California, and remained there, engaged in mining, until 1853, when he returned home to Saline. In the fall of that same year, Mr. Marshall was married to Miss May Porter, and in March, 1854, he moved to his present residence. Of this marriage, Mr. Marshall had two children, one of whom, R. A.
