- ↑ Source:Jillson, David. Genealogy of the Gillson and Jillson Family, p. 241, says Joseph's wife is Sarah ---. Apparently relying on the Gillson Genealogy, Sarah is repeated in NEHGR, p. 63:294. This appears to be an error, as the birth records of all his children give the name Mary (for example, see here), and the oldest daughter is named Mary. In a deed dated 28 Mar 1768 (Middlesex Deeds, Vol. 71, p. 288), "Joseph Gillson of Groton ... and Mary his wife" sold to "our son Daniel Gillson of Groton" half of a 90 acre homestead.
