The name of Joseph Debell's first wife is known to be Margaret[1], but the basis for identifying her as Margaret Diamond is not clear. It might be supposition based on the names of their children, or there might be other documentation to support this identity.

The Quaker records list the marriage of Joseph Debell of Looe, Devon to Margaret Harris of Plymouth, Devon 2 Jan 1708/9 in Plymouth[1]. It is possible that Margaret was a widow whose maiden name was Diamond, but there is no evidence in the Quaker birth, marriage and death records to support this. Also of note, is that there was a Margaret Harris baptized in London 20 Aug 1685[2] (approximately the birth date of Joseph's wife Margaret, as calculated from her age at death) - but she was baptized in an Anglican church (Christ Church Greyfriars Newgate), and there is no reason to suppose that she moved to Devon.
