CONVERS, Joseph of Medford, and Abigail Adams, Oct. 19, 1800.
There is an epitaph listed in Woburn's Second Burial Ground, on p. 2:75 of Woburn Births (also, see Find A Grave) for a Joseph Converse, called the only son of Joseph and Abigail Converse. He died 17 Aug 1803, age 9 y. 5 m., making his birth about March 1794. No matching birth record is found. The commentary in Woburn Births says "See History of Arlington, p. 205, for parents". This reference is to a section that describes the parents on this page. Clearly, such a child would long predate their marriage so some error is present. Either, the stone was carved wrong, and the age at death was 9 months, 5 days; or Joseph had an earlier wife Abigail (no such marriage nor other supporting documentation found); or the commentary is wrong and the parents are a different couple (no known candidates)???
