"Children (hypothetical):
- Samuel, res. 1761, Cortlandt, Westchester County, N. Y.; m. at Redding, 7 Jan. 1756, Mary Platt, dau. of Josiah of Norwalk and Redding.
- William, was of Salem, Westchester County, N. Y., 1773, when he purchased in Stratford, and doubtless was father of Abner of Monroe (b. at Ridgefield, 6 Dec. 1759), to whom he conveyed his dwelling house. William had children bapt. at Salem: Ruamah, 13 May 1764; Elizabeth, 22 May 1768. [footnote] Quite likely the wife of William Cable was Anne Wilson, dau. of Thomas of Ridgefield, whose will 1775 called her Anne Cable. This Anne had a bro. Abner Wilson, after whom the son Abner Cable could have been named.
