    Mr. Barry does not include the children born in Stow to John and Thankful even though the birth dates match so closely with his baptisms that it seems almost certain they are the same. (In Stow, Alice b. 15 Jun 1721 and Abbigal b. 5 Jul 1723, while he shows Alice bp. 18 Jun 1721 and Abijah bp. 14 Jul 1723. Naturally, then, he does not include the John born in Stow, but neither does he include the John found in the Framingham records. Perhaps he was influenced by probate records, since it seems likely both Johns died young. Unfortunately, there seem to be no death records for any of these children, which might have gone a long ways towards cleaning up these various points of confusion.
