  3.   Source:Hibner, Aldis Everard. Genealogy of the Descendants of Joseph Bartlett of Newton, Massachusetts for Seven Generations, p. 183, says Lusina was the daughter of Jonathan J. and Zeruah Snow, which of course, comes from the birth record. It then notes she is a sister of Melissa Snow, who was b. 1801.

This gets confusing if one sees a Bridgewater marriage record showing the intentions of Jonathan Snow of Augusta NY and Zeruah Snow dated 18 Jan 1800, which would be fine for Melissa (and Hiram b. 1805), but inappropriate for Lusina (and Eliel b. 1793, Lucius b. 1796). This Bridgewater record is for a different couple. The Jonathan Snow of Augusta appears to be the son of Seth (notice the will of Seth Snow transcribed here.) Mitchell, p. 316-8, says "Zevina" Snow, d/o Eleazar, m. Jonathan Snow of NY, who may have been son of Seth Snow.

Despite the fact that the births of the children of Jonathan Snow of Brookfield name their mother as "Zeruah", and the 1822 death record of Jonathan names him as "h. Zeruah", she is the same Viah Sanford of Western [now Warren] who m. 1790 Jonathan Snow Jr. of Brookfield. Her name at birth was given as Zerviah, and obviously she went by Viah, and the town clerk apparently spelled it Zeruah, using a u for the v. So son Eliel is born to mother Zeruah, but the church record for his baptism lists the mother as Viah.

Coincidentally, also dying in 1822 is Jonathan Snow "h. Betty", i.e., Jonathan Snow who m. 1761 Betty Packard. He is presumably the father of Jonathan, no longer Jr., who died 2 months later as "h. Zeruah".
