'... and on the 17th of Sept. 1740, he was married to Sarah Bliss, of Windsor, by John Buel, J. P.'

The VR for their marriage indicates that she was of Litchfield. Many compilers identify her as Sarah Bliss, daughter of Jonathan, born 24 Oct 1706 in Windsor, but a Sarah Bliss of Windsor married Thomas Mugleston in Windsor 13 Dec 1733, so this seems unlikely.
