, says "His first wife born him one son, Jonathan, of his second union there was one daughter, Hannah." and when describing the son Jonathan, says, "only child of Jonathan and Sarah (Brown) Heald". Now it may be that Jonathan was the only child of the first wife that survived the father (Sally died as an adult unmarried, no death record found for Edward and Lydia, but no marriages either), but he clearly was not the only child that the first wife "bore".
