  2. Note: the husband is not the Jonathan Foster of Shrewsbury covered by Source:Ward, Andrew Henshaw. History of the Town of Shrewsbury, Massachusetts, p. 277, despite his explicit speculation to that effect on p. 278. The will of Jonathan Foster of Shrewsbury [Worcester Probate 22124] in 1743 names wife Mary and the children shown by Ward, and it was proved 1745, and in 1763 his widow Mary sells real estate to pay his debts [Worcester deed Vol. 49, p. 410-411]. Meanwhile Jonathan Foster, still alive, and wife Bathsheba sell land, of Shrewsbury and after 1765 of Winchendon. It has not been ruled out that it might be the son, though the age mismatch (Bathsheba b. about 1697, Jonathan b. 1719) makes that seem unlikely. No coverage of any of these Jonathans seems to be found in Source:Pierce, Frederick Clifton. Foster Genealogy.
