This marriage is far from proven; however, it seems reasonable based on the following:

(1) Jonas Peck married Elizabeth Stevens in 1734 but has only one known child, Phebe, baptized and presumably born in 1747. That implies that any possible children with Elizabeth were probably not recorded, and she died sometime between 1734 and the mid 1740s. The child Phebe could well have been named after her mother.

(2) Jonas' younger brother Caleb married Phebe's younger sister Martha.
