"At the Lexington homestead there is a large record book containing a portion of the old town records in Lt. Josiah Parker's handwriting. It is therein entered: 'Jonas Parker and Lucy Monroe, both of Lex. were published June 30, 1745.'"
[Note: the accompanying text on p. 49, it says they married "in the summer of 1743", even though the above would indicate it was the summer of 1745. And, on p. 50, "They made their peace with the Church Sept. 15, 1745, which must have shortly followed their marriage." Is the 1743 a typo? The first child was born in Holden 9 Oct 1745 (Lexington records give the baptism as 6 Oct 1745?)]
