    'On November 1, 1774, [John Wood] married Roba Smith, who was born November 1, 1774, and died April 20, 1849, daughter of Arnold Smith.'

    Obviously, one of the dates is incorrect. Based on the birth dates of their children, Nov 1 1774 is likely Roba/Rhoda's birth date, and they were married about 1794.
