My grandfather's named was Resolved Waterman, and grandmother's Christian name was Marcy, daughter of Mr. Roger Williams, the first settler in Providence. She had five children by my grandfather - Richard, Resolved, John, Mary and Waite. After my grandfather died, Mr. Samuel Winsor married her and had three children - Samuel, John and Hannah. My great grandfather's name was Richard Waterman. He came from England at the time Mr. Williams came. His wife's name was Bethiah."
