- ↑ Source:Wadsworth, Mary Jane Fry. Wadsworth Family in America, p. 183, adds a daughter Mary, b. 1699, m. 1720 Robert Anderson. Records of neither of these events (i.e., neither birth nor marriage) can be found. Abigail is the first daughter named in the father's will and he specifically tells us he has 6 daughters which seems to eliminate any Mary unless she died early. The parents marriage in Dec 1698 is only 16 months prior to Abigail's birth in Apr 1700, meaning some combination of pregnancy before birth and premature births would be required to physically have a child in 1699 as indicated. Robert Anderson m. 1722 Abigail Bayly. No death of a Mary Anderson is found, no children born to Robert and Mary Anderson. Simply no basis is known of that even suggests such a person or marriage. ??? Given the numerous other errors this source makes, this assertion would seem to have zero credibility.
