The marriage is found of John Sturdevant to Mary Jackson at Stratfield, 28 Apr. 1709. Presumably this was Mary Ferris, so she must have been the young widow of one of the Jacksons, not identified.

  2. The Ridgfield vital records specifically identify John3 as son of John2 and his first wife; Elizabeth3 as daughter of John2 and his second wife. It would then appear that the 1709 marriage to which Jacobus refers was to one Mary Jackson who subsequently died so that he married, second, sometime before 1713, Mary Ferris, unrecorded daughter of Zechariah Ferris of Charlestown and Stratford.
