Have just checked the Uttoxeter registers and found the following, which I hope may be of some use;-
23.8.1818 St Marys Uttoxeter
John Smith, Widwr, otp married Mary Harrison, spins otp.
Witnesses;-William Harrison and Thomas Osborn.
His/signature Her/mark
Children;-
30.5.1819 Frederick John Plasterer, Uttoxeter
25.11.1821 Mary Ann do
22.2.1824 Eliza do
8.3.1827 Herbert do
18.10.1829 Caroline do
Have checked the baptisms up to 1830,all at St Marys, Uttoxeter.
There were quite a few Smiths at that time, including another John and Mary Smith, a butcher by trade, and another John and Mary Smith, a labourer, who had children baptised in the same years as John the plasterer, so we know that they are not one and the same!!.
I'm hoping that this marriage is the one you seek, as it was the only one at Uttoxeter in the time span.
