    [p. 27:] "[56] 1665. John Smith & Mary Beech weare Maryed 19 of aprill."
[The Middlesex County Record is presumably a copy, so the 1665 date would appear to be the original, and hence probably correct. This is supported by the first child not being born until 1667.]

    *On p. 19: under Richard Beach: "by wife Mary, had ... 2. Mary, b. Dec. 11, 1641"
*On p. 20: under Anthony Beers: "Perhaps the four following were also his children: ... Mary Beers m., Ap. 19, 1665, John Smith."
*On p. 414: under John Smith: "John Smith, m., Ap. 1, 1665, Mary Beers".
Presuming the difference in marriage dates is a simple typo, it appears Bond is identifying the wife of John Smith as a Mary Beers, who, since her parentage is given as "perhaps", presumably has no evidence prior to this marriage [Savage calls her an "earlier d.", i.e., born preceding arrival in Watertown 1646, citing "as Bond thinks"]. All this, despite the fact that the record says Mary Bech/Beech, and there is such a person born and living in Watertown. Additionally, Anthony Beers moved to Roxbury in 1655, and to Fairfield, CT, in 1658, so that one would not even expect his daughter to be in Watertown at the time of this marriage.
