    This Indenture made the nine and twentieth day of Nouember Anno Domi 1631 and in the seventeenth yeare of the raigne of our Soueraigne Lord Charles by the Grace of God king of England Scotland firaunce & Ireland defender of the faith &c Betweene Sybill marshall of Lenham in the County of Kent widdow & John marshall of Lenham aforesajd Grocer sonne & heire apparent of the sajd Sybill marshall of the one party and Ralph Partritch of Button nere Douer in the County of Kent Clarke and Gervase Partrich Cittizen & Cordwajner of London of the other parte Wittuesseth that the sajd Sibill marshall & John marshall for & in Consideration of a marriage already had & Solempnized betweene the sajd John Marshall and mary Partritch one of the daughters of the sajd Ralph Partritch & in Consideration of a marriage portion pajd vnto the sajd John Marshall by the sajd Ralph Partridge and in performance of an Agreement for a Joiuctturetobehad & made vnto & for the sajd mary in Case she shall survme and ouer liue the [410.] the sajd John Marshall hir husband & for the naturall loue & affection which she the sajd Sybill hath and beareth to hir sajd Sonne John Marshall and for diuers other Good Causes & Considerations them mooving Doe for themselves theirc & either of theire he ires & Assignes Couenant & Graunt to and wth the sajd Ralph Patriteh and Gervase Partritch theire heires execcutors administrators & Assignes by these presents that they the sajd Sybill marshall & John marshall and theire heires and all and euery other person and persons that now are Seized or at any time heereafter shall stand and be seized in possession reuertion Remainder or in vse of & in all that messuage Barne Garden orchard and fower peeces of land wth the appurtenances Containing by estimation twenty acres of land Scittuate lying and being in Kennarton alias Kennardington in the County of Kent and lying to the kings streete there towards the South and to the land now or late of Robert Shepard Gen? toward the west and to the land of the Heires of Horne Esquire towards the north and to the lands of the Heires of willjam Evernden towards the east and which late were the messuage lands and tennements of James Meade late of Tenterden in the sajd County of Kent yeoman deceased shall and will at all times hereafter and from time to tjme stand & be seised of the sajd messuage barne Garden orchard and fower peeces of land wth the appurtenances to the vse Intent & purpose hereafter in these presents ljmited and declared and to none other vse Intent & purpose that is to say to the only vse & behooflc of the sajd John marshall and mary his now wife and the longer liuer of them During theirc two naturall liues and the life of the longer liuer of them and after the decease of the longer liuer of the sajd John Marshall and mary then to the vse and behooffe of the right heires of the sajd John Marshall for euer and the sajd Sybill marshall and John Marshall Doe for themselves & either of them theire and either of theirc heires excccutors and Administrators Couenant and graunt to and with the sajd Ralph Patritch and Gervase Partritch and either of them theire and either of theire heires execcutors and Administrators by these presents in manner and forme following that is to say that at the Sealing and Deliuery hereof They the sajd Sybill marshall and John Marshall are or one of them sole Rightfully and absolutely Seized in Demesne as of fee simple to theire owne of their ownc propper vse and behooffe wthout any Condition or limitation to alter chainge or determine the same of and in the before mentioned messuage lands & tennements wth theire appurtenances and that the sajd mary and hir Assignes shall or may from and after the decease of the sajd John Marshall peaeably and quietly haue hold occupy possesse and enjoy the before mentioned messuage lands tennements and premisses wth theire and euery of theire appurtenances [41T.] according to such estate as is vnto hir by these presents ljmitted and appointed wthout lett or deniall of any person or persons lawfully Clayming or pretending title therevnto from by or vnder them the sajd Sybill marshall and John marshall or either of them or either of theire heires and wthout any the lawfull lett Deniall Interuption Clajme or putting out of any other person or persons whatsoeuer In wittnes whereof the parties first aboue named to these present Indentures Interchaingeably hane putt to theire hands and seales Dated the day and yeere first aboue written
